Regional Admissions Receptions
Thank you so much for your interest in hosting an Admissions reception for newly accepted or newly enrolled College of Charleston students and family members! Regional receptions provide an opportunity for students to learn more about the College and to meet with staff, faculty, and area alumni in a relaxed environment without venturing far from home. The receptions generally fall under two types:
Yield Receptions
Intended for newly accepted students and family members and are usually held during the end of February or early March. This is the time of year when students are trying to determine which college to attend from those where they have been accepted. The people they meet and the additional information they receive about the College of Charleston may assist them in the decision making process, helping them to make an informed decision.
Summer Send-Off Events
Summer Send-Off Events are intended for newly enrolled students who are College of Charleston bound! These events are usually held in late July or early August and are designed to make our students and their family members feel welcome and comfortable before stepping foot on campus. They provide a wonderful welcome to Cougar Nation and many long lasting relationships can be established.
