Rebecca joined the Cougar family as an undergraduate student in 2011. She quickly fell in love with the College and became an active member in the campus community—from Orientation to Men's Basketball! After living in Charleston for quite some time, she has since moved back to Virginia.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Let your student take control of this process, but be a helping hand when needed.

What is your favorite Charleston tradition?

Graduation! Wearing all white is so unique and special.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

The Cistern Yard.

What hobby do you wish you had more time for?


What is your favorite place to eat in Charleston?

Five Loaves.

What is the best advice you've been given?

Always try your best.

What is your favorite off-campus hangout?

Shem Creek!

What celebrity would play you in the movie of your life?

Reese Witherspoon.

Do you have pets?

No, but one day I'll get a cat! MEOW!

What is the moment you knew you were a Charlestonian?

When I stayed in Charleston for the summer after my freshman year. I have lived in Charleston year-round since moving into Berry Residence Hall in August of 2011.

What is the best concert you have seen in Charleston?

Darius Rucker at the Windjammer!

What is the hardest class you have ever taken?

Communication 215 - Communication, Identity and Community. By far the hardest class I have ever taken, but one of the most fun, too.

What is the last great book that you have read?

Harry Potter! I recently read all of the books for the first time.

Travel Agent!
