Otto B. German Minority Male Initiative
What is Minority Male Initiative (MMI)?
It's a free event for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.5. It's your opportunity to join other minority males to experience the College of Charleston.
You'll spend the day on campus and experience what it's really like to be at College of Charlesoton.
As an MMI participant, you'll have access to exclusive resources, including:
- Opportunities to attend workshops and develop your academic and personal skills.
- Fun and engaging social activities with MMI participants and College of Charleston students.
- Information about how the College supports minority students.
- Spend the night in a residence hall.
- so much more!
MMI's Mission
The Otto B. German Minority Male Initiative strives to empower, support and assist men of color in creating a strong foundation of success that you can build upon in the years to come. Students who participate in initiatives tend to achieve higher grades, be more academically and socially integrated into campus, and graduate at higher rates.
