Gothic Literature.

In this course, students will read and discuss classic works in the genre by writers like Poe and Oscar Wilde, and study influential Gothic films such as Nosferatu and Rosemary’s Baby.


Babylon Berlin!

Students will explore the world of Berlin in the 1920s and have the opporunity to learn in depth about what was arguably the most interesting city in the world in the era between the end of the First World War and the Nazi Seizure of Power.


Voices of Diversity: Female Playwrights, Characters of Color, Narratives from the LGBTQ+ Community.

An examination of dramatic literature from Greek tragedy to the present day, focusing on characters whose race, gender, sexuality or accessibility sets them apart in the world of the play.
