Self-Guided Tours

On days that we don't host campus tours, take in all that the College of Charleston has to offer at your own pace. Collect your self-guided walking tour from the Office of Admissions (65 George Street), or download a campus map, and head over to the iconic Cistern Yard for the beginning of your adventure. Learn the history behind each of our buildings, and spend a little extra time at the stops most relevant to what will be your College of Charleston experience.

Campus Tours

Following safety guidelines, the capacity of our campus tours is kept at a low level. If you do not see open slots on the day you wish to visit, check back often. If we receive cancellations, slots will automatically be added back into the calendar. We are not keeping a waiting list at this time.

Use the calendar to select available campus visit dates and times.

Campus Tours are led by a current College of Charleston student or staff member and last for approximately one hour. You will have the opportunity to explore campus in addition to learning about academic and student life. Please know that these are modified campus tours, they are outdoors only.

Information Sessions are not being offered in-person at this time and we encourage you to register for a virtual information session prior to your visit. A recorded version of the session can be accessed here.

The admissions information session can be accessed here.

**NOTE:
Campus visits are only available at this time for students applying for admission to the College of Charleston Class of 2025. All other students are asked to refrain from visiting campus at this time. We are not currently able to offer visits to counselors from schools, community-based organizations, or independent counseling practices.

Classroom Visit

The Office of Admissions is happy to invite all high school juniors and seniors to virtually attend a class at the College of Charleston. Sitting in on a virtual class is a great way to gain first-hand experience on what the College has to offer you academically. Virtual Class Visits are available Monday through Friday during the fall semester to all high school juniors and seniors, and during the spring semester to seniors only.

Before making your arrangements, make sure to double check dates and times to make sure classes are in session during your visit. You can click here to reference our school calendars. You can then click here to register for a virtual class visit on our event registration page. Thank you and we look forward to having you on campus!

Virtual Tour

There’s nothing better than seeing and experiencing the College of Charleston firsthand. There’s no other campus like ours. (It’s more like a hip, vibrant neighborhood than a fenced-off institution!) However, we welcome you to explore the College from your very own home. So, take the virtual tour to familiarize yourself with campus. But then, schedule the real thing!

Group Tours

**Due to COVID-19, we are unable to offer group tours at this time.**

We are happy to arrange special tours for groups sponsored by a school or organization. Group tours can accommodate 10 to 60 guests and are scheduled Tuesday through Thursday on the same calendar as regularly scheduled tours (no school holidays or days where only information sessions are offered). Once you’ve selected a date, complete our Group Tour Request Form and we will happily work with you to organize your visit.  Note that submitting this form does not confirm your plans, your visit is not guaranteed until you receive a confirmation email from our campus visit coordinator.

If you are coming on your own with just a few family and friends, rather than requesting a group tour, you will need to register for one of our regularly scheduled campus tours.
