Otto B. German Minority Male Initiative

The Otto B. German Minority Male Initiative (MMI) strives to empower, support and assist men of color in creating a strong foundation of success that you can build upon in the years to come. Students who participate in initiatives such as this tend to achieve higher grades, be more academically and socially integrated into campus, and graduate at higher rates.

As a MMI participant, you will have access to a number of exclusive resources. These resources include but are not limited to:
- Opportunities to attend workshops to develop your academic and personal skills
- Fun and engaging social activities with MMI participants, as well as current College of Charleston students
- Classrooms visits where you'll interact with faculty
- The chance to explore "America's Most Beautiful College Campus" and the city named “No. 1 City in the U.S.” and No. 2 in the world (Travel + Leisure magazine)
MMI is free of charge; however, participants are expected to pay for their transportation to and from campus. Space is limited and restricted to high school juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
To be considered for the program, you must first apply and submit all supporting documents, including: your most recent official high school transcript and test scores, food allergy notice & consent form.
