Charleston Bridge Program
The Charleston Bridge program is an invitation-only program for South Carolina residents whose goal is to earn an undergraduate degree from College of Charleston (CofC). This one-semester bridge program gives you the opportunity to benefit from a transitional fall semester as a Trident Technical College (TTC) student while living in a campus residence hall and taking TTC classes on campus at CofC.
Once students are accepted to and complete the fall program requirements, students have a seamless transfer admission pathway to the College of Charleston the following spring semester.
During the fall, Charleston Bridge participants:
- Are TTC students living, taking classes, and studying on the CofC campus.
-
Pay TTC tuition, are eligible for financial aid (through TTC), and if eligible, can receive state scholarships.
-
Enroll in 12–17 credit hours during the fall be taught by TTC faculty at CofC. These TTC classes will fulfill College of Charleston or general education or other degree requirements.
-
Access CofC support services such as the Center for Student Learning, Student Health Services, Campus Recreation Services, and the Addlestone Library.
-
Live in a College of Charleston residence hall and have a CofC meal plan, which can be used in a number of dining facilities on campus. Students pay for campus housing and a meal plan at College of Charleston rates.
-
Take part in all CofC activities except for varsity sports and fraternities and sororities. This means that Charleston Bridge students can play intramural sports, join clubs and organizations, attend concerts and theatre productions, or spend time at the Mace Brown Natural History Museum, Avery Research Enter, or the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art.
-
Students meeting the Charleston Bridge program requirements will be eligible to transfer into the College of Charleston immediately following the end of the fall semester.
