With over 15 years of higher education experience, Michelle has served in several positions that have excelled her in leadership. She also serves as an adjunct professor for the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.

Where are you from? 

Cleveland, Ohio

What question do you frequently receive from students while traveling? 

Do we have nursing as a major? A: We do not offer the Bachelor degree in nursing but our path to get you there is very unique! Our Pre-Health Advising Programs will give you a great foundation that will prepare you to apply to a school of nursing that awards a bachelors degree.

What did you study in college?

Early Childhood Education & School Counseling.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Always take advantage of opportunities that will allow access to higher education.

What advice do you have for parents of prospective students?

Stay connected, engaged, and active in the college planning process with your student! Don't put them on automatic pilot just yet!

What is your favorite Charleston tradition?

Charleston Cooper River Bridge Run. It's the 5th largest road race in the United States!

What is your favorite spot on campus?

The Cistern Yard.

What hobby do you wish you had more time for?

Singing. 

What is your favorite place to eat in Charleston?

Nigel's & Gilie's.

What is the best advice you've been given?

When a person shows you who they really are...believe them!

What celebrity would play you in the movie of your life?

Jennifer Lopez.

Do you have pets?

Yes. 

What talent do you have that would surprise your friends?

Cut hair.

What is the hardest class you have ever taken?

Statistics. 

If you could go to college again, what major would you choose?

Health related. 

What is the last great book that you have read?

Loyalty and Disloyalty by Dag Heward-Mills.
