B.A. in Communication from College of Charleston
Recruitment Territories: MN, TX, and SC (Lowcountry - Charleston and Beaufort counties)
Ambar studied Communications and Spanish at the College of Charleston. She was active in the campus community, working at the Student Stern Center and writing for the George Street Observer, the official newspaper of the College. Ambar’s favorite part of Charleston is the welcoming community within the city. In fact, Charleston’s southern hospitality is what encouraged her to stay! She chose to work as an Admissions counselor to give back to the city and show it’s future residents the same warm welcome it gave her!
Like many of our future Cougars, Ambar was a first-generation college student. This gave her an intimate perspective on the hurdles and intimidation the college process can produce, and she joined the Admissions team to help mitigate these stresses for perspective students and to help them decide if CofC is right for them. Grateful to serve her alma mater, Ambar is eager to help students begin this exciting new chapter in their lives!
Ambar's admissions tip: First impressions really do matter. Email is the primary way in which we will communicate with you, so create a mature email address. We want that initial gut feeling to be a good one - on both sides!
