College of Charleston '12, Dual B.A. in Chemistry and Religious Studies
I began working in the Admissions Office first as tour guide during my sophomore year, and this past spring as the volunteer coordinator for Accepted Student Weekend. During college, I was active in the Jewish Student Union, the Honors College, and the Charleston 40 tour guide association, and I performed undergraduate research in the Chemistry Department.
Why did you choose to become an admissions counselor?: I wanted to continue taking an active role in the college decision making process for high school students. I saw the difference that a personal connection makes and wanted to emulate the great work I had seen from the Admissions staff.
Additional Responsibilities: Baker
Favorite Quote: “Good Judgment comes from experience, experience comes from bad judgment.” - Dr. Stephen Rockower (my dad)
Favorite Charleston Restaurant: Five Loaves Cafe, and (when someone else is paying) Coast
What Harry Likes Best About CofC: The community feel that is created from the small class sizes and outstanding faculty. The professors really get to know their students and care about them and not just their own individual research.
Favorite College Memory: Going skydiving freshman year for a project in one of my classes.
