Friday March 22- The College and the City of Charleston
This is your opportunity to explore Charleston. We’ll offer student panels on campus during the day but we encourage you to get out and experience our historic city. We think of the College not just as the bricks on campus, but everything between the Cooper and Ashley Rivers- the city is our campus.
Check-in begins at 9am in the Office of Admissions (65 George Street) and will be open until 4pm. Our first campus tour begins at 10am and will continue to be offered as the day continues. Friday, you’re free to move about among different sessions regarding student life, financial aid, and study abroad opportunities. If you can’t make these- no sweat! You’ll want to be here for the Students-Only and Parets-Only Panels at 3pm and the Charleston Welcome Reception and Lawn Party following it at 4pm on the Cistern Yard.

Saturday March 23- This is the big day!
Check-in will open at 9am in the TD Arena with everything kicking off at 10am- here’s what to expect:
- Mini-lectures with First-Year Experience Faculty
- Lunch in the Liberty Street Fresh Food Company
- Student Organization Street Fair
- Academic Courtyard Receptions
- Residence Hall Tours
- Conversations with current students, alumni, faculty and staff
Everything wraps up around 4pm so you can head back to the hotel, head out of town or get ready for dinner in Charleston with your family.

PLEASE NOTE: This special weekend event is for students who have been accepted to the College of Charleston. This is not an orientation and you are not required to attend this event. Orientation, which is required for entering students, is offered later in the summer.
Accepted Student Weekend will help you make that final decision about attending College of Charleston. The event is designed for both parents and students and you’ll meet current students, faculty, staff and possibly even a future roommate! There will be a variety of events on both days which will highlight our campus, outstanding academics as well as our student life at College of Charleston. You can choose to come for either Friday or Saturday’s events or make a weekend of it and stay for both!
Making Your Travel Plans
Some students will be receiving invitations to additional Friday events (Honors Experience, Simply the Best, and Jewish Student Union/Hillel). You will be receiving a separate invitation to these events by mid-February, so keep an eye on your mailbox.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide overnight accommodations for students and families, so don't forget to book a hotel early.
After you've registered, we'll send you more information to the e-mail address you registered with closer to the date of the event, including information about parking and registration location and times. Be sure to check back here often to see what's new. We'll post information about events and a detailed schedule as it becomes available.
