Accepted Student Weekend
March 20-21, 2015
Accepted Student Weekend (ASW) is designed for accepted students and their families. Explore campus. Chat with students. Meet your professors and maybe even a roommate! We will host a variety of events on both days; you may choose to attend Friday or Saturday’s events—or make a weekend of it and stay for both!
Friday, March 20-Experience the New Charleston
We will offer student panels on campus throughout the day; however, we encourage you to explore the New Charleston. As one of the top 10 growth areas for software and Internet technology, Charleston has been dubbed Silicon Harbor. The College is a hotbed of innovation. Experience your new home!
Check-in will begin at 11 a.m. in the Office of Admissions at 65 George Street.
Campus tours will run every hour between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. We'll offer various student panels so you and your family can learn more about student life, financial aid, and study abroad. Attend any/all that spark your interests.
Saturday, March 21-Discover the CofC Advantage
Check-in will begin at 9 a.m. in TD Arena and everything will kick off at 10 a.m. The day's events include:
- Mini-lectures with First-Year Experience faculty
- Street fair featuring student organizations
- Academic courtyard receptions
- Residence hall tours
Everything will wrap up late afternoon, so you may head back to the hotel, head out of town or get ready for dinner in Charleston with your family.
Check out this video from ASW 2012! We guarantee this is an event you don't want to miss.
Some students will receive invitations to exclusive events to be held Friday, March 20, so keep an eye on your mailbox in mid-February.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide overnight accommodations for students and families, so don't forget to book a hotel well in advance.
Shortly after you've registered, we'll email you more information including parking, registration, locations, times, etc. Follow us @cofcadmissions #CofCASW

Note: Accepted students are not required to attend. Orientation, which is required for entering students, is offered in the summer.
